This Privacy Statement regulates the processing of your personal data by legal form Mets Design, company under Dutch law with company no. NL 0030.87.313.B03 located at Zandstraat 11H, 1011 HJ Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Akoya Mockups website is part of Mets Design. (hereinafter: “ Akoya Mockups ”).

Akoya Mockups values your privacy and wishes to process your personal data in a legal, fair and transparent manner. We handle your data in full accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy statement explains how Akoya Mockups processes personal data about you.

Please read this Privacy Statement carefully. It contains essential information about how we process your personal data and which cookies we use. By sharing your personal data on our website, by contacting us by email/telephone or by submitting a question/complaint, you declare that you have taken note of this Privacy Statement.

 

Article 1 - What is considered as personal data? 

Personal data is any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. This may include the name and contact details of a person, a date of birth, a photo and any other data that is or can be linked to a natural person, including, for example, e-mail address, telephone number (even the work telephone number) or login code.

Processing of personal data means any processing or any set of processing of personal data. These processing operations are particularly varied and relate, among other things, to collection, storage, use, modification, communication of this data up to and including destruction.

 

What data do we process about you?

Akoya Mockups processes the following personal data in the context of its work: 

• When you visit our website

When you visit our website, we ask your permission to place cookies (see the “Cookies” chapter for more information about our use of cookies).  

If you give us permission to place analytical cookies, we collect analytical information about your browsing behavior on our website, such as your IP address, your (limited) location data, your unique online ID, information about the device you use to access our website, the website from which you clicked through to our website and your browsing behavior on our website. We do this to improve your user experience on our website based on your preferences.

If you give us permission to place functional cookies, we can save your currency preferences in our webshop and immediately show you our prices in the correct currency on your next visit. 

If you give us permission to place marketing cookies, we can register your actions as a website user to measure the effectiveness of an advertisement and to show you targeted advertising.

• When you contact us by completing the contact form on our website 

If you contact us via the contact form on our website, we process your contact details and the content of your message or question for the sole purpose of providing you with an answer to your message or question and fulfill our commitment to you in that regard. We do not store your data for longer than 3 months and do not use it for any purpose other than replying to your message.

• When you place an order on our website

If you place an order on our website, we process your contact details. We do this to send you our mock-ups via e-mail and to invoice the ordered products, in the context of the execution of the agreement you have requested. We keep this data for 10 years.

If you have created an account, we keep track of your details and order history. By creating an account, all purchased mock-ups will be saved in your profile. This means you can consult your ordered mock-ups at any time. We keep your account details for 2 years after your last order. If you have not placed an order with us or accessed your account for 2 years, we will automatically delete your account after first sending you a warning email. This way you can download your mock-ups or reactivate your account in time.

• If you sign up for our newsletter

We regularly send newsletters, mailings and other communications to our customers and to anyone who voluntarily registers for our newsletter. In this context, we process your email address in our mailing database for 2 years after your last order or last interaction with us.

 

Article 3 - Who receives your personal data?

We do not share your personal data to third parties for commercial reasons.

If necessary for internal reorganization or transfer of activities, we may transfer your data to other entities within our group or to third parties who can guarantee the continuity of our services. In that case, we will always inform you in advance as much as possible, but you can understand that this is not technically or commercially feasible under all circumstances.

Akoya Mockups may appoint external processors to provide specific services. These service providers will carry out data processing on our behalf and on our behalf (in the capacity of processor). This concerns the service providers we rely on for our general administration, IT and accounting. Akoya Mockups will carefully select processors in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. In addition, Akoya Mockups will ensure that the processing is carried out in accordance with the provisions of any written contract and with legal regulations in the field of data processing.

We always try to make maximum use of European suppliers, but if we have to rely on non-European third parties, we ensure that your data is just as safe outside Europe as it is within Europe. Where necessary, we conclude Standard Contractual Clauses with these partners and provide additional guarantees.

In rare cases, we may be obliged to disclose personal data pursuant to a court order or to comply with other mandatory laws or regulations. We will inform you in advance to the best of our ability, unless this is not possible for legal reasons.

 

Article 4 - What are your rights regarding the protection of your personal data?

As a data subject, if the conditions stated in the GDPR are met, you are entitled to: 

• Information about your personal data: You have the right at any time to obtain access to your personal data and information about how we use that personal data, or to request a copy of it.

• Correction and erasure: You also have the right to request the rectification or (in some cases) the request to erase your data. 

• Restriction of processing: In a number of cases listed in the GDPR, you may also request restriction of processing of your personal data.

• Object to the processing of your personal data: You have the right to resist the processing of your personal data if you have serious and legitimate reasons for doing so that outweigh our need to process your data or for a previous reason withdraw consent. You also always have the right to object to the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes, even without having to provide a reason for this. 

• Data portability: You have the right to your personal data in digital and readable form request and/or to other responsible parties to be transferred to another service provider of your choice.  

If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please let us know as specifically as possible. When exercising your rights, Akoya Mockups must be able to verify your identity to prevent someone else from impersonating you. That is why, if in doubt, we may request a copy of a valid ID. Article 5 - How do we protect your personal data?

We have taken the appropriate technical and organizational security measures to guarantee the security of your personal data. For example, our server and software tools are protected with a username and password, access restrictions, and we apply encryption where possible. We also provide training to our staff on data protection, we have internal guidelines on data security, and we use appropriate security measures in the form of up-to-date antivirus and firewall security.

Under no circumstances can Akoya Mockups be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from incorrect or unlawful use of the personal data by a third party.
